FAQs About Discount Mattress Store

Can I buy a new mattress and sleep on it the same night?

We keep a large selection of mattresses in stock, however, we do sell out of some sets quicker than others. If this happens, we can order your new mattress and you can expect it to arrive within 7-10 business days. Based on your order's size or delivery address, delivery rates may vary. All exact charges will be calculated for final approval by the customer before the purchase.

Why are your mattress sets so affordable?
Here at Discount Mattress Store, we sell directly from the manufacturer to the customer, thereby cutting out the middleman and any other additional costs. We don't have a fancy showrooms or pushy salespeople who make their money through commission. Lower overhead means lower costs, which means great savings for you!

Do your mattresses come with a warranty?

Every mattress set we sell comes with its own manufacturer's warranty, which covers everything from manufacturer defects to body impressions. See the warranty itself for full details on each specific model and brand.

What are the coil count and the wire gauge?

We know this topic can be confusing but generally the higher the coil count, the better. And thicker the gauge of the coil wire, the better.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that a low coil count or smaller gauge is bad. It just means it may feel a bit different and might wear differently. All name brand mattresses use high-quality coil systems and most companies use the exact same ones. There are over 25 different variations on coils and we recommend you stick with name brands.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, ATM / Debit cards and checks. Checks must clear the bank system before any order is released. However, we do not accept American Express.

Do you have a showroom where we can see the mattresses and try them out in person?

We certainly do! Every advertised bed is in our showroom for you to try out for yourself. We are located at:

How much are delivery charges and how long does delivery take?

We offer FREE local delivery on mattress sets $399 and up. However, we realize many customers aren’t local, which is why we have extended delivery zones at unbeatable prices.

Extended delivery zone fees are as little as $20 and up. Our FREE delivery has no sign-up fee to qualify. We also offer you same-day delivery on any in-stock mattress set.

When will I know that I should replace my mattress?

Your current mattress is over eight years old
You wake up feeling more tired than when you went to bed
Your couch feels more comfortable than your bed
Your mattress looks like it is a hand-me-down (or it actually is)
You wake up with aches and pains every morning
You need pillows between your legs to get comfortable
You see lumps, dips and valleys in your mattress
You feel a spring poking into your back

Can I place an order over the phone?

Yes, we take orders on the phone all the time, as long as you know what you are purchasing. Please call us any time during business hours. Please be ready to answer some question about yourself so we can fit a mattress for you. We will take any delivery instructions and inform you of an expected arrival date (usually within a few days). If you wish to pay via credit card, we will process your transaction right away and bring a copy of the slip with your delivery. You can also pay cash on delivery.

Remember, only YOU will know the proper mattress fit for your own body. The best way to pick the perfect bed for you is to simply come into the store and try them out!

Can you set up my mattress when you deliver it?

We set up most items if requested at the time of purchase. Setup of products takes extra time and will change the delivery schedule for other customers that day, therefore we ask that you let us know at the time of purchase.

Does the price include the box spring or foundation?

Yes, all of our mattress set prices include the box spring or foundation. If you do not require a box spring or foundation, you won't be charged for one.

Will you haul away my old mattress?
Yes, we will dispose of the mattress being replaced if requested at the time you place your order. However, there will be a small disposal fee charged by the third party delivery service we use.

Do I need to buy a new foundation with my new mattress?

No, but it is very important to make sure that your existing foundation is in excellent shape. Your new mattress will not be supportive if the foundation isn’t. Everyone else will tell you that you have to have the matching box. However, we don’t and never have. In our opinion, it is an upsell to force you to spend more money and we don’t want you to waste your money on things you don’t need.

Why do I need a center support roller frame for my new mattress set?

Without this extra support, the foundation will warp over time and will not provide the correct support to your mattress. If you have ever had a bed that seems to be lower in the middle causing you to roll into the center, this has happened because the box spring was not supported properly. Sometimes we can save you money by making just a few slight changes to your frame.
